eCF Webinar: eCF Essential Medidata Team EMA Presentation Review
The eCF Essential Medidata Team met with the EMA GCP IWG and other industry stakeholders on Nov 24, 2025. They presented our position on the decommissioning of studies as the main option when using computerised systems in clinical research (as opposed to leaving the study live in the system, migrating it to another system or recommissioning it in the system at the date of inspection). We believe this has led to a deeper understanding by the inspectors of the issues involved, and even to have changed some of their minds!
During this webinar, the team will present this same presentation to the eCF members, along with a discussion on how it was received by the IWG.
