REGISTRATIONS CLOSED: eClinical Forum Virtual Workshop, 12-16 October 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic is still affecting life and we won’t be in a position to run our normal face-to-face workshops for some time yet, but we will carry on meeting together virtually.

Today, we are pleased to announce the details of our next Virtual Global Workshop on 12-16 October 2020 (which replaces our planned Global Workshop in Dublin which is postponed until 2021). The virtual workshop will include a mix of global and regional events and is open to participants from any member company in any region.

Our last virtual workshop was a great success and this one will be even better. We have made sure that sessions are as convenient as possible for the different timezones across the world by limiting the duration of global sessions and offering more regional sessions.

Learning from each other is what we do best and we will be introducing a number of ways to increase interactivity during the workshop (although nothing can replace the networking and comeraderie of an eCF face-to-face meeting.

A pre-final agenda and print of the registration form are attached.

We are able to accommodate a much larger group of participants that would normally be possible for a face-to-face meeting. For this Virtual Workshop we can accommodate a maximum of 250 participants. We can allow member companies to use (and even exceed) their annual allocation of seats just for this meeting! This means that member companies can use:

  • Pharmaceutical members... up to 4 seats for each region of membership (i.e. global members can use up to 12 seats).
  • Industry members...up to 3 seats for each region of membership (i.e. global members can use up to 9 seats)

We will allocate approximately 30 seats to academic members, healthcare participants, partners and guests.

We encourage you and your colleagues to REGISTER NOW for the sessions that you will attend (https://www.eclinicalforum.org/forms/VWOct20 ). If the numbers do become too large, we will contact our primary contact in each company region to see how best to limit participation.

eCF BoF Round-table: Utilization of Scribes for eCOA

eCF BoF Round-table: Utilization of Scribes for eCOA

This is a round-table discussion. Participants are encouraged to share experiences, make comments, ask questions, and contribute to the discussion. We will be discussing “The utilization of scribes is needed for the conduct of clinical assessments within eCOA.  Therefore, eCOA needs to be built in a manner that meets the regulatory requirements for scribing, to ensure all individuals participating in the assessment are audit trailed.”

"When should audit trail begin?"

Several members of the eClinical Forum's Regulatory Advisory Group have published an article in Applied Clinical Trials on "When should audit trail begin?"  It is a discussion of the regulatory history behind audit trails and its interpretation as it relates to clinical research data originating or residing in EDC or eCOA systems.
