Background: eClinical Forum Birds-of-a-Feather sessions focus on the details of a specific topic. All participants are encouraged to share information and ask questions. Anyone from an eCF member company can participate, gratis. The facilitator will [try to] keep the subject on track and prompt discussion and information sharing.
For This Topic: ICHOM is a non-profit organization with the aim of transforming healthcare systems worldwide by enabling and promoting standardized measurement and reporting of health outcomes through the definition and collection of data in accordance with Standard Sets of outcomes per medical condition. In late 2015, ICON was selected as ICHOM’s data partner to conduct a pilot program that will gather and aggregate data from providers globally in accordance with ICHOM’s standard sets, which will then be risk adjusted to detect outcome variation between the participating providers. Pilot projects are now underway and already over 20 providers are transferring de-identified patient data for central analysis. We will discuss ICHOM’s mission, the journey to date, how they develop their standards, objectives of the pilots, how data is collected, and the kind of questions this data may provide answers for.
Time: UTC 1300; 15:00 CEST, 9:00 AM EDT, 9:00 PM Singapore. We apologize for the inconvenient timeslot in some regions.
